ITALY, Lucania, Heracleia, (370-281 B.C.), silver didrachm or stater, (7.65 grams), obv. head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet ornamented with Skylla, HPAKLHIWN on right but weak, rev. Herakles naked standing facing holding club and bow, lion skin over left arm, to left a vase over **AYA, to right [HPAK]LHIWN, (S.391, BMC 33-34, SNG ANS 73 similar dies). Very fine and scarce.
