PISIDIA, Antiochia, Gordian III, (238-244 A.D.), AE 32 (19.44 g), obv. around IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right of Gordian III, rev. CAES ANTIOCH COL, Emperor on horseback galloping right, cloak flying behind, holding reins and aiming spear at lion below, which is already pierced by another spear, SR below, (S.-, SNG France 1234, BMC 85). Toned, flan flaw on obverse, otherwise fine and scarce.
