FRANCE, Model AN XI infantry sabre briquet, with steel curved blade (approx length 58.5cm), with ringed brass handle and hand guard, this stamped 411, also stamps on blade and guard with initials in circles, K, B, L, the B with a chain around it, with brass and leather scabbard, the top edge of the sabre with an etched name but difficult to read. The blade with pitting and black toning, the scabbard stiff and makes it difficult to withdraw sabre, otherwise good.
